A mere three months and a whopping 6.5 million global downloads later, the action RPG Angel Stone has received an extensive update.

Update 2.0 includes two new PvP modes, Team Deathmatch and Coliseum, which suggests developer Fincon wants to break into the eSports scene. Team Deathmatch comes in ranked and unranked variants while Coliseum is unranked only.

The best part about the unranked modes is that they don't have a stamina cost and can be played entirely without restrictions. You can also sit back and watch other PvP battles currently being played in Observer mode.

You can play any of the new PvP modes - as well as all co-op modes - with your friends on any platform. Angel Stone is fully cross-compatible and available on Facebook, iOS, and Android.

Also included in the update is a new Artifact System, in which you collect various sets of artifacts to earn a stat boost.

The guild system has also received a sizeable update. Now you can level up your guild by gaining Guild Points in a variety of different modes (Story, Training Airships, Party Dungeon, Party Raid, and Battle Zone).

You can then unlock a variety of Guild Buffs that can be strengthened further using Guild Points and increase attack damage, defence, exp gain, and gold gain in a variety of different modes for all guild members.

Angel Stone has been featured in the App Store as an Editor's Choice as well as hit the top five most downloaded RPG in over 70 countries since launch.

Head on over to the App Store [download] or Google Play [download] to check out this action RPG phenomenon right now.

New Zealand-based studio Little Lost Fox revealed on Twitter earlier that their stunning mellow puzzler, Valleys Between, will be launching on mobile later this year and it's really something special.
Announcing Valleys Between - a game about creating life and balance in a forgotten world.Shape the land at your fingertips, discover relationships within nature and develop communities. Create a thriving, beautiful world and watch it grow.Coming to mobile mid-2018! pic.twitter.com/lcwOV4R4pJ— Valleys Between (@ValleysBetween) February 1, 2018 In Valleys Between you'll take hold of your own land, plant your seeds, grow them, protect them, and watch your land flourish and take shape. The power at your fingertips should help you better understand the relationship between us and nature in good and bad ways.

Though it's described as a puzzler, the main thing to look out for is balance. Every action you take has an equal and opposite reaction, so you've got to think carefully to regain your balance after each move. It doesn't seem like it'll be palm-sweatingly challenging however as it's a relaxing game you can dip into for shorter play sessions.

In an interview on VentureBeat, Little Lost Fox producer/game designer Niamh Fitzgerald said, "The idea is you want to grow your world as big as you can. The world moves as you do things to create new spaces that you can interact with. The player can pull up or pull down on the land to create certain interactions, or to create certain relationships, and the idea is you want to continue growing your world as big as you can while managing some of these extra challenges that pop up."

While there's not a whole lot of information or imagery about the game just yet, it's really excited me to think about how it'll play. I love relaxing games but always tend to lose concentration or drive in them, so I'm hoping this'll run along the same thread as Monument Valley - fluid, unapologetic, beautiful, thoughtful, the right kind of challenging, you know the sort.

So far the industry response is extremely positive so this is undoubtedly one to watch.

As we come to the end of the year one game stands out more than others: Pokemon GO. Well, the results are in and it turns out that players have walked a hell of a way.

At the end of May, Pokemon Go developer Niantic announced that Pokemon Go Fest 2020 would be a digital event due to the current circumstances across the globe. Now, they've unveiled more details on what exactly this will involve for fans of the game.

The festival will take place over two days and players will only need to purchase one ticket – which costs £14.99 or your local equivalent – to participate in both. Each day will apparently provide a different experience and have its own Special Research story to complete. The first day will be Saturday 25th July, taking place from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm local time.

Throughout the first day, there will be five rotating habitats which are themed around fire, water, grass, battle and friendship. They will each feature special Pokemon that match those respective themes and will rotate every hour. There will be a total of 75 species of Pokemon to encounter through this and the Special Research tasks.

Those who purchase a ticket will also have access to the Global Challenge Arena. Here, players will work together to complete a variety of global challenges that will take place each hour. If the challenge's criteria are met then players will get a bonus for the rest of that hour.

Day 2 then, will take place on Sunday 26th July during the same hours. However, Niantic wishes to keep what this will involve as a surprise and add that it will be very different. So beyond another Special Research story, we're not sure what it will involve.

In the lead up to Pokemon Go, there will be a variety of weekly challenges for players to complete. These can be completed regardless of if you've purchased a ticket for the event. Beating these quests will unlock additional Pokemon appearances when the festival proper kicks off.

Pokemon Go is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It is a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
Looking for some Battle League tips? We've got some that will help you start on the front footTap City: Building clicker GO! "Do not you fret, Mrs. Doctor, dear. Susan is not the woman to burn a wee man. Bless him, he has no notion of crying."
Nexon has brought the entire MapleStory PC experience over to mobile devices. That's right, the side-scrolling MMORPG MapleStory M has made its mobile debut for iOS and Android, and it's free.

The content of the game is essentially what was on the original PC version. There are 150 levels, with monsters to be fought, characters to customise, dungeons to be explored with friends and, obviously, pets to adopt.

However, this is not the first MapleStory game to come to mobile. MapleStory Thief and Cygnus Knights were, let's just say, not the best games ever. So it'll be interesting to see if Nexon will be able to pull the ports of a whole MMO to mobile.

"I don't know. It doesn't look--exactly--as if the occupants would be kindred spirits, Anne, does it?"
We've all seen the games list for next week's Switch launch, but most of the release dates are still pretty up-in-the-air. However, it was announced earlier that Snipperclips will definitely be a launch title.
