&#;
Who knew it could be so fun to build and play a game based on the idea of a rabbit getting killed over and over again by lava?

Furdemption was a great, brutal platformer that played in byte-sized levels each more treacherous than the last. It featured a great and fuzzy art style and went on to be updated with a lot more levels.

Rare Sloth is now moving on the sequel which adds new levels and items but keeps the same formula:

    Updated 8th September, 15:05 PM: Kotaku's chat with Nintendo yesterday confirmed that though Super Mario Run will be coming to iOS, it won't be coming exclusively.
No, apparently we will be seeing the game on Android, but most likely not until next year. Considering the game was announced during the Apple Event, one can only assume that Nintendo granted Apple a little bit of timed exclusivity for casting its net over to Google Play.
&#;

    A HEN finding the eggs of a viper and carefully keeping them warm, nourished them into life. A Swallow, observing what she had done, said, "You silly creature! why have you hatched these vipers which, when they shall have grown, will inflict injury on all, beginning with yourself?'英雄之桥破解版(mod) MOD APK&#;
If you haven't heard of this one yet RPGolf is pretty wild but it's something I think we need in our lives. Better yet, it's coming out this week on iOS.

Residual is an upcoming pixel art survival game from prolific mobile developer OrangePixel. After crash-landing on a mysterious planet, you'll head out on an adventure across its procedurally-generated terrain, delving deep into a cave system where remnants of an advanced alien civilisation can be found.
Residual - new gameplay footage: https://t.co/SWmjWq1n0nResidual is coming to PC, Switch ,iOS and Android later this year / early 2021!Play the demo on Steam starting tomorrow: https://t.co/51GjbKNSeK#gaming #indiegames #NintendoSwitch #pixelart #NoWeapons pic.twitter.com/81MnRCipIb— OrangePixel (@OrangePixel) June 15, 2020Surviving this planet isn't going to be easy, so it'll surely come as a sizeable relief to find some handy alien tech along the way. The game mixes crafting with light puzzles and a good deal of exploration – so far so survival game. But the difference here is that Residual completely sidesteps guns, weapons, and violence.
Little Orpheus review - "A cinematic platformer with a seemingly inconceivable story"
While there's nothing inherently wrong with games that revolve around such things, it's nice to see certain developers move away from the idea that everything needs to have some form of combat. The survival genre, especially on PC, is fairly full of grisly adventures, so I reckon that there's definitely room for a more chilled-out, non-violent approach.

You might be familiar with PocApp Studios' previous game Castle Cats. It's a popular idle RPG that's been downloaded over 5 million times. Now, they've announced they'll be releasing a new game called Dungeon Dogs for iOS and Android. They've swapped out the kittens for the pups but they've kept the all-important alliteration.

Dungeon Dogs takes place in the kingdom of Lupinia where an evil cat king rules and dogs are treated like second class citizens. A group of rebels that includes hounds called Lyra, Ken and Poppy will rise up against this oppression when they discover there might be a true heir to the throne.

This will see you tackling a host of story quests that will be expanded over time. At launch, the game is set to have around 85 of them but PocApp says more will undoubtedly follow. Similarly, the game will also have regular events to keep players coming back to upgrade and battle with their canine crew.

There will be 45 different dogs to collect on release, again with more planned to be added post-launch. Once you've assembled a dog squad that you're happy with you can set them up for battle, kick back and let them do all the work. This is an idle RPG after all.

Each pupper will have a set of skills to unlock that will make them more potent in battle. On top of that, there will also be traits and costumes that you can equip them with, further increasing their strengths. If you've played Castle Cats, you'll mostly know what to expect here as Dungeon Dogs isn't looking to change the gameplay too much.

Dungeon Dogs will be available on the App Store and Google Play at some stage. There is currently no release date set in stone but we'll be sure to keep you updated. It will be a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
Prefer your RPGs a little less idle? No problem, here are 25 of the best available for Android
