<p>Originally nearer to £800/$800 the HTC Vive was a serious commitment for any VR gamer. However, it was announced today HTC made the decision to give the headset pack a £200 cut.</p><p>Virtual Reality has a number of different uses, from entertainment to education, but unfortunately the original price point of the top-brand headsets is what stopped a lot of eager folks in their tracks. After all, even with the Vive or Oculus you've still got to have a computer advanced enough to support the input - that means top processors, graphics cards, and a lot of RAM.</p><p>It looks like HTC has started to twig that making their product more accessible means they'll have to make some cuts, and dropping the price to £599 is a decent start.
